4 Minimal customizability, but sufficient.
Note that this is a consideration first impression is:Here is some information that I found elsewhere1. The clock should not "bike mode" than its predecessor, but can be configured to tell you is the speed in mph / km / h2. The light and the right of the press to take some 'strengths, while the bottom button on the left is much easier. Perhaps the keys are more difficult in this way so that the wrist is no hurry.3. When you start and stop the countdown, the watch offers a pop-up "Timer started" or "Timer stopped", which disappears after a few seconds he said. It 'sort of embarrassing.4. If I tell you the clock to exit the GPS mode, you must wait one minute before saying that it can return to GPS mode. The reverse is also true. Again, this is not a shade of failure, but it's annoying.5. If the "tour" during synchronization. The screen will change and give you the lap time for about 10 seconds, then return to the screen are a total elapsed time. In other words, there is no way to see the lap times, rising. It is barely visible at the end of the round.6. The timer, you must hold down the reset button for 3 seconds. It 'annoying slow.
This watch is probably less massive than the 205/305. I think it's a bit 'smaller than the 405. He has a solid, well-made "feel", but it is very difficult. The group is easily observable for a plastic and has a circumference of about 9. "As stated in the instructions for you to silence, so that the clock to acquire a satellite signal. It 's easy signal faster than my 60CSx with a SiRF III chip, but I'm not sure how to compare 205/305 / 405 "Beyond Art said 12/24 hour clock mode, speed, km / mi beep and report / alarm only on / off you can not customize a lot about what you watch.
Unfortunately, I did not take the time to watch a race or a game was with my 60CSx, but I will try the data after this weekend.
In general, this watch should be the one that was exactly right. Because of its timing slow the rate, volume, and the absence of simultaneous presentation of the previous round and a total elapsed time, I'm not going to take to the gym in the near future. Yes, I'm still thrilled, worked on the bike and try it.
Also, I recommend Smart training for the seller. I ordered the watch on Sunday and received on Wednesday.
UPDATE: 10/05/2010I have this clock on a race with my 60CSx. Running the length of 2.4 miles, remained in 0.02 of a mile of each other (usually 0.01). I was able to compare directly because the speed of the 110 only gives you a moving average. It would be nice if Garmin will allow you to change this behavior. Sometimes the 110 will receive a signal in about 15 seconds, but sometimes it takes more than a minute.
5 This 405 user loves his new 110
BACKGROUND:-----------I used a Garmin 405 on the street for my weekend long runs for about 1.5 years. Previously, I had the 305th Garmin I am using the 110-405 with my chest strap (I saved $ 50).

SUMMARY:--------The 110 has everything I (will be tested in theory) with my 405 in a much smaller, lighter form factor with a GPS chip for superior quality.

Reasons why I think the new 110 better than my old 405:-------------------------------------------------- ---
* E 'is smaller and less bulky than the 405, looks and feels like a normal clock, and wraps around my small wrist.
* I do not know, must pass through the fiery 405-Touch (in) sensitive telescope.
* The figures for the distance / hr / time / speed than the 110, 405, makes it easier for me to read about the race.
* There are fewer menus to navigate.
* How does the 405, the accuracy of GPS and freezes very well, even under the trees (below).
* Like the 405, then I increase the Auto-round, all share a miles (other distances are possible).
* The total of 110 events that I want to pursue during and after my race.- Expired distance (in feet), time (run), the heart rate, average speed (automatically displayed for a few seconds after each set) (for the current round), the pace last turn (to run) Heart Rate average, average speed (for racing). Average heart rate and rhythm for the entire run are shown under "History" at the end of my race.
* To make them live, I can see from looking at the clock, until now I have 2.1 miles in 21 minutes, my current is HR 160, my pace for the mile (3 miles) My step 09:56 ET for the final stage (2 miles) was 10:01. At the end of my race, you click on the "history" and see that my average heart rate for the entire performance was 162bpm and my average pace was 9:54 minute mile. For me, the time, all I care about is keeping my HR in the range 160-170bpm (your offer will probably be different) trying to keep my pace at 10:00. In general, I think that many riders have the same requirements: Keep track of your current human resources to maintain a target range, in an attempt to try to beat the target pace per mile.
* The 110 has a longer battery life
* I have not used other features like the 405 courses, virtual partner, etc. Ironically, I have "done" for the 405 screens or less what you see 110 by default (but can not be changed).

What all these stories of "speed"?-----------------------------------------
I suspect that some drivers find the pace they are running at this time. Think about how your current speed - that is a bit 'as a speedometer of a car for you. Some speak of "speed", but can be confusing when the average speed for the mile course, which we call the current pace, "with right now" rhythm. Unlike the 405, 110 is not the type now your pace. Instead, we get the average speed for the current cycle. If your journey by car is set to 1 mile (default), then we'll see the average speed for the course of a mile. For my part, now with the rhythm. While I try to beat targets for miles I would like my average speed of hit show mileage. When I try to pace 10:00 for the resumption mileage'm now, and I started to slow down, the 110 is telling me my average speed for the mile course is slower, for example 11:00, and I know that I need of the rest of the race faster than my mile average pace for the mile course from 11:00 to make my goal pace of 10:00. When I fall speed, my average speed for the mileage slowly a clock from 11:00 until 10:00. Conclusion: with the right now to help speed up so as not to hit targets at mile pace, so I do not care if he's "disappeared" from the 110th If everything you try to walk for miles to reach goals (running 10:00 miles ), then you're fine with the 110 °
ALL QUESTIONS GPS?---------------
Not for me. Perhaps connecting dot com slash dot slash run Garmin 44862992 activities and you will see, my walk test. Click on the map in "Satellite" and that most of my test run with thick trees could be seen.
