Stylish with a classic presentation, the Tissot PRC200 Chronograph Stainless Steel Blue Dial Watch should definitely be invited into your watch collection. It begins with a 40mm stainless steel case with prominent pushers and crown on the right side. The dial, which is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, also offers three blue chronographs sub-dials and a tachymeter scale on the outer rim of the dial. A classic stainless steel five-link bracelet straps this watch to the wrist, while a fold-over clasp with a double push-button safety ensures that it stays there. Just wanted to add another review of this great watch. I researched different watches for a tad, wanting a sporty, chronograph watch with a steel band. Most important on my list: sapphire ravenscroft crystal. This watch fits the bill. The blue can be ultra sweet and really looks nice. For myself, the size of the dial is perfect. Countless companies are making dials HUUUUGE. Not this just one. It is big, but not too big.

For anybody looking at this watch or other nice designer watches at Amazon: word of caution. And please do not misunderstand this, as we should all know in which Amazon is a GREAT company. However, you aren't getting the Tissot warrranty when you purchase this during Amazon. In their defense, Amazon does state that clearly on the page for this watch (under the picture and price information). Again, you aren't getting Tissot's 2 year warranty. In its place, you employ a 2 year warranty provided by some 3rd social gathering company that Amazon contracts with.

Now, if you are able to know for 100% sure that the watch can be authentic, then this shouldn't be a problem. Providing you get a great watch and a 2 yr warranty, it shouldn't matter who provides the guarantee. However, although Amazon is a reputable company, you can find shady companies out there, especially in the check out market (selling fakes). Amazon could easily be misled into buying and then reselling fakes, thinking they are the real thing. Several customers have reviewed Tissots purchased from Amazon and have stated they're fakes. They had issues, sent them to Tissot for service, only to discover the watch was a fake and not servicable by Tissot.

If you order this check out from Amazon, will it be fake? Hopefully definitely not. But is it worth taking the chance of saving some money? Perhaps it is for some.

Nevertheless it wasn't worth it to me. If I would definitely spend this much, I wanted to be confident it was real with a real warranty coming from Tissot. I wanted the assurance that mine was the real thing. So I went to Tissot's website, found one of the few regional, authorized dealers, which happend to be a Jared's, and i also purchased from them. Paid a LOT more funds though: instead of the $300 that Amazon markets it for, I paid $445. Yeah. WOW. Additional. But to me, it was worth it.

As well, there is another benefit of this. For these watches, you can't just replace the battery via Zales or other small shops, and the price tag isn't the small 8 or so bucks. Fairly, a one-time battery replacement can cost approximately $100 bucks. Crazy right. It is so substantial because of the water resistence and the gaskets needing to be checked. They watch needs to be pressured sealed. So it is a process. When you're getting it from Jared's (and perhaps other authorized retailers), I purchased an additional warranty for only $70, which include LIFETIME battery replacement. Mind you, I NEVER Actually EVER buy extended warranties on products...just experience they are a waste. But in this event, you do the math: one-time battery alternative costs $99, but a lifetime of battery replacements costs $70. That is what we call an easy decision. So my total bill out the door was around $540ish. A lot? Hell yeah! But worthwhile for the peace of mind of having a geniune and with the knowledge that it comes having lifetime battery replacements.

One final note, I really just called and spoke to a manager on Jareds to ask other questions regarding the view and the warranty, and they even said which the warranty includes have the band buffed up to help once per year...for free. After wearing this thing just one day, I have small scatches about the band, which is bound to happen since it really is stainless steel. So a once-a-year free buffing sounds sweet to me.

All in all, GREAT watch. If you want to save a $150, get if from Amazon. They are an excellent company. For me, I wanted the assurance (and the extra warranty is awesome), so I purchased in other places. Regardless of where you purchase, you will be pleased with the watch. Hope the review helps.
